Common Grounds take off
Last Thursday, April 23rd, was the kick-off of the Common Grounds with inclusive employer project. In a start meeting with the first two employers who will set up a Common Ground, the goals, principles and plan of action were discussed. Whereas Campus Woudhuis has so far mainly focused on work-learning pathways for employees in their own company on the estate, the Common Grounds, looking ahead, will develop a methodology and facilities to facilitate employees to work at a regular company. We will work with groups of an average of three employees. First of all, at construction company Veeneman, which together with gardener Walter Ruesink wants to shape inclusive employers in practice. Levi van Dijk, who works for forest and nature manager Johan Rap, will start working part-time as a foreman on the Campus in May.
In the coming weeks, the project team will share expectations with employees and employers and make agreements about the work, learning aspects, guidance and monitoring experiences and results. At the end of May, we expect to start the practical design and the start of the first Common Ground.
This project is one of the case studies at the Movisie platform Werk inclusief Beperking (Dutch only unfortunately)
